Mark Andre & Pierre-Laurent Aimard

In seinem ersten Werk für den Pianisten Pierre-Laurent Aimard entfaltet Mark Andre die zerbrechlichsten Dimensionen des Klangs und schafft gemeinsam mit dem SWR Experimentalstudio einen eigenen Hörraum, der auch von konkreten Klangspuren aus der Charité und dem Tränenpalast in Berlin geformt wird. Andres Musik des Entschwindens ist dem Gedenken eines Kindes gewidmet: "Selig sind, die da Leid tragen; denn sie sollen getröstet werden."

In his first work for the pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Mark Andre unfolds the most fragile dimensions of sound. Together with the SWR Experimentalstudio, he creates a listening space that is also formed by traces of concrete sound from the Charité Hospital and Tränenpalast border checkpoint in Berlin. Andre's music of disappearance is dedicated to the memory of a child: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
